Project Description

After around 1.5 years of intensive planning and construction, Regionalbus Lenzburg AG successfully commissioned its new charging infrastructure at the bus depot at the beginning of January 2026. With a total of 16 charging points, the foundation has been laid for the further expansion of electromobility.

Today, 7 electric buses are already in operation, and from summer 2026 the fleet will be expanded to 12 vehicles. This means that around 42% of the bus fleet will soon be operated electrically — a significant step toward emission-free public transportation in the region.

The implementation of the project involved high demands: Different technical systems, several project partners, and intelligent load and charging management all had to be perfectly coordinated. The result is a future-oriented and high-performance depot infrastructure.

Special thanks go to Ruedi Willi and Armin Tschopp for their trust and close collaboration. In particular, Ruedi Willi contributed significantly to the further development of the control system for the LineDrop system with his extensive technical expertise. His practical input demonstrated how important it is to take customer needs seriously — and how innovative solutions can emerge from this process to sustainably improve a product.

With this successful project, Regionalbus Lenzburg AG is sending a strong signal for the future of mobility and is consistently driving sustainable development forward.
